At I-Vapor, we focus on pioneering water-based technologies that redefine the standards of clean water and refrigeration. Our solutions are designed to address environmental challenges and improve the quality of life for individuals and communities worldwide.

Air Bubble Enhanced Evaporative Cooling of Liquid Water

Developed through the innovative work of Dr. Kuo-mei Chen and his collaborators, the Air Bubble Enhanced Evaporative Cooling technology revolutionizes water-based cooling by utilizing the physical dynamics of air bubbles in liquid water. This method disrupts the hydrogen bond network of water through bubble formation, thereby accelerating evaporation. The introduction of bubbles significantly increases the air-liquid interfacial surface area, while their turbulent motion agitates energetic water molecules and brings them to the interface, where they more easily transition to vapor. Additionally, the internal Young-Laplace pressure within the bubbles creates localized pressure differences, further enhancing the evaporation rate.

This technology provides a highly efficient, environmentally friendly alternative to conventional refrigeration, using only air and water. Its principles form the basis of several patented innovations, including:

  • US Patent No. 10,723,634 B1 (2020): System and Methods for Gas Transport Desalination

  • US Patent No. 11,719,449 B2 (2023): System for Refrigeration an Enclosure

Together, these breakthroughs support sustainable, low-energy cooling and desalination solutions that align with global environmental goals.
